Photographing a photographer

Maurisse’s day job is running finance & accounting for a NYC non-profit organization, but he’s a serious photographer who sometimes moonlights as a professional. I never get stage fright on my photo shoots, but there is a bit of extra pressure when shooting another photographer. Maurisse wanted a nice, clean corporate headshot for his LinkedIn profile and public speaking gigs. And together, I think we killed it and got him a great shot

Brett made our family photo session so easy and fun. Our almost 10-month old daughter was not in her best mood during the shoot but his camera captured her beautifully regardless. Unlike our wedding photos, it only took him a few days to setup online gallery so we were able to share the photos with family and friends right away. Not only photos but experience itself became such a wonderful memory as parents! Highly highly recommended!

I think of myself as someone who doesn't photograph well, unless I don't know I'm being photographed. Brett's ability to engage me in lively conversation while photographing me made it possible to relax and even enjoy the experience, which was the last thing I imagined going into the shoot. The final result is I have terrific photos for my website. Though I have limited experience with professional photographers it seems very clear that Brett is an unusually gifted photographer.
