I love NYC with all my heart, but you and I both know this town is a tough gig for anyone, and especially for artists. The old lyrics are true — if you can make it here, you’ll make it anywhere. These two dancers are making it happen in New York City classic fashion: by working their butts off while sharing their dreams and a tiny UWS apartment. One hopes to become a Rockette, the other is a modern dancer in the footprint of Martha Graham. We had fun goofing off in Central Park where they struck a few poses for me beneath Winterdale Arch. The photo shoot was for a cover story in a local magazine; when it comes out, I’ll update this post.
